Appeal of the Ministry of Emergency Situations to the population on fire safety rules during Novruz Tuesdays
24 February 2026 | 10:13
Starting today, our people begin to celebrate Tuesdays (Charshanba) associated with the Novruz holiday, which embodies our national and spiritual values. Failure to comply with fire safety rules during ceremonies held on this occasion, including the lighting of bonfires, may lead to undesirable and tragic consequences.
Therefore, the Ministry of Emergency Situations appeals to the population to observe the following fire safety rules during the organization and holding of ceremonies related to the Novruz holiday:
- a bonfire must be lit away from the houses, cars, electric wires, trees and other flammable materials;
- minors gathering around the bonfire must be under adult supervision;
- be careful when jumping over the bonfire;
- a bonfire be kept under supervision until it fully blows out;
- lit candles must not be left unattended.
It should also be taken into account that lighting a bonfire in windy weather conditions is considered particularly dangerous.
Remember: the use of pyrotechnics is prohibited!
Remember: Indifference to the rules is a threat to our lives!
Call 112 in case of danger!
